Strong School Studio Art Light Drawings

This project requires a very dark room. We used tarps, black construction paper and paint shirts to plug all the light leaks we could. Light drawing also requires a DSLR, a tripod and a long exposure time (5-15 seconds). Using flashlights, glow sticks, candles, cell phones and miscellaneous other hand held lights, students 'draw' in the air. The light trail is recorded on the camera's sensor as a 'line'. Unfortunately Studio Art class is not very long this year and 2 students were absent. We should do this activity again. Well done everyone. -Mit
